DROP-IN CLASSES

DROP-IN PLACES: THURSDAYS & SATURDAYS ONLY

I offer drop-in spaces in two of my weekly classes. All my classes are mixed ability, but the Saturday morning is especially aimed at beginners (or those who want to take their practice back to basics). Come join us with your mat, a smile, and the desire to feel happier and healthier!

Your class choices are:

THURSDAY EVENINGS, 7.45pm, Crystal Place Osteopaths

SATURDAY MORNINGS, 10am, Antenna Studios, Crystal Palace

Both classes are 60 minutes. Cost is £15 per person, per place. Please bring your own mat.

Saturday Morning: Un-Bendy Basics

Let's all feel happier and healthier; off the yoga mat and on it.

£104 for 8 classes; or £15 per drop-in. 

This course is designed for folks who are either setting (an unflexible) foot on a yoga mat for the first time, or keen to get back to basics.  With added flexibility (HA!). Pay for 8 classes but have 10 weeks to use them in - so if life gets in the way and you have to miss a session, you don't waste your cash. Handy, right?!

When we’re together in class we’ll learn poses and practices so that your body and mind start to feel healthier. Then while we’re apart you’ll have access to an online community (via Facebook) to continue your learning, share your experiences, and get support from your fellow un-bendy yoga pals. 

Real Life Yoga is all about finding the ways and means to help you bring a little (or a lot) of yoga into your real life, so that’s why this course is different to all the others. We won’t preach – but together we’ll practice. (And possibly go to the pub.)

Where? Antenna Studios, Bowyers Yard, Haynes Lane, SE19 3AN

When? Our first session will be on Saturday 1st July, then on every consecutive Saturday until our last session on Saturday 2nd September.

Time? 10.00am to 11.00am

What’s included?

o   10 hour long lessons.

o   Your own virtual Real Life Yoga community, including regular posts from Meg suggesting articles to read or videos to watch, through a private Facebook group.

What’s the investment? £104 for 8 lessons. (Must be used over the 10 week period.)

Come & move on a Monday!

Starting Monday 3rd July, Crystal Palace, London. 

This class is perfect for beginners and improvers alike, plus you get a little extra flexibility (HA!) so you don't waste money on paying for classes which you have to miss when life gets in the way. 

So - you pay £104 for 8 classes (that’s just £13 each) and you’ve got 10 weeks in which to use them. The first session will be on Monday 3rd July and the last one will be on Monday 11th September (no class on Monday 28th August). It means you get the benefit of a consistent practice (little and often is the key, my friends) but won’t lose out if life throws the occasional curve-ball your way.

I’m keeping the class size small to make sure everyone gets plenty of attention and we keep the group cosy, so I’m not just saying ‘book soon’ as a cunning marketing ploy. It's a lovely room, but there isn't oodles of space and trust me you don't want to get *that* close to a stranger in a Downward Facing Dog.

You know that committing to a course of yoga classes would be good for your body, and your mind, but the rest of your life doesn’t seem to know that. Cue unexpected late meetings at work, a dose of the lurghie, and the Overground having a funny five minutes. Before you know it you’ve missed more classes than you originally paid for.

Workshop: Love to be Loved!

Come and spend a soothing Saturday afternoon learning how yoga can create that most wonderful feeling of all. Yep - we’re getting loved up!

Opening your heart can be a scary thing but with gentleness, compassion, warmth and courage it is possible (and can even be fun!). After taking a short wander through our amazing anatomy we’ll dive into a dynamic practice; using poses to open and strengthen shoulders, core, legs, and back. This will lead us to the ultimate expression of a truly open heart; back bending.

Are you a hater not a lover (of back bending!)? This workshop will coax even the most hardened of you into feeling the “Oooh” rather than the “Aarrgh!”

Then, what better way to soak up the love than with a pause for some tea and treats? After all, self-love has to include the taste buds too.

Our second session will develop some practical tools to take the love with us when we step off the mat and into the real world, as we make our own mantras. Mantra literally means ‘mind protecting’ so it’s a conscious thought we give the mind to help it focus. Want courage? Struggling to surrender? Need compassion? A mantra can help.

Finally, to finish the afternoon in the most loving way possible we’ll reward our minds and bodies with a deep and delicious final relaxation. (No spoilers, but chocolate may or may not be involved….!)
