Mind full to mindful

Start a daily practice which will last a lifetime.

A unique opportunity to start, or re-connect with, a daily meditation and reflection practice through a 28 day online experience.

We all know that the hardest part of creating a new positive habit is getting started. When there’s an option to not do that really-good-for-you thing its super easy to fall off the wagon before we’ve barely climbed on board.

But with a super-supportive community of fellow newbie meditators surrounding you, and a group commitment to remaining firmly attached to the meditation wagon (however bumpy the ride), we stand a much better chance of arriving at the end of the course having a firmly established practice.

And what’s more we may have even enjoyed the ride!

The experience will include…

  • an introductory workshop to dive into practical tips and tools we can use to get started.

  • exclusive access into a friendly and cosy virtual meditation room where the silent support of our fellow group members will keep us accountable as we establish a regular practice.

  • weekly group coaching and check-in sessions to share experiences, top tips, and celebrate our general awesomeness!

  • a print-at-home Mini Guide to Meditation to bring together our key points of learning, including prompts and inspiration for journalling, to help you stay on track with your practices.

This experience is perfect for you if…

  • You’ve heard how good meditation is for our busy brains, but you’ve got no idea where or how to start.

  • You’ve fallen off the meditation wagon and are finding that pesky commitment illusive on your own.

  • You know that you work best when you’re given a clear plan, plenty of support, and the freedom to find your own path.

  • You’ve been trying to start a consistent meditation practice but working in isolation feels a little lonely.

  • You’re looking to connect with a group of like-minded folks who want to learn to like their minds!

What will happen over the 28 days?

1 – An informal workshop to get us in the mood….

We’ll start with a 60 minute informal workshop (virtually, of course!) on the evening of Thursday 27th May where we’ll go through a brief introduction into the different practical tools and tips we can use to help us get into that illusive headspace.

There will also be an opportunity to chat about any attempts we’ve made at meditating before, and discuss how we can set ourselves up for success. (Anyone else always end up thinking about all the things that are still on their ‘to do’ list? Or start wondering whether the cat is miaowing because a.) the house is on fire or b.) they’ve run out of biscuits?)

Finally we’ll finish with a guided mindfulness practice to feel how some of those techniques could work for us.

Then...

2 – Taking theory into practice in our own Virtual Meditation Room….

After the workshop where we will have learnt a bit about the practices we’ll be playing with, the Virtual Meditation Room will open for 28 consecutive days between 7.00am and 7.30am every morning, starting on Tuesday 1st June.

The very best thing about this course will be you guys. By diving into this new regime together, just being part of the room will offer each and every one of us a tonne of unspoken mutual support and a sense of accountability (Read ‘a yogic kick in the pants’) to help get us up and into our practice each day.

It will be entirely up to you whether you join the room for the whole 30 minutes, for a 5 minute practice, or something in between. Only my camera will be on (although I won’t be visible) and everyone will remain muted for the whole session.

No register will be taken, but to help us feel accountable I’ll ask that you send me a private message via the chat (don’t worry if you’re not a Zoom expert – I’ll talk you through how to do this in the workshop!) just so I know who has attended that session.

My sincere hope is that everyone does their very best to attend every session; consistency and dedication (even when real life does its best to get in the way) is one of the most important challenges we’ll be trying to overcome together.

3 – Once a week we get together for a bit of coaching and a catch-up….

Once a week we will virtually gather to discuss how we’re finding the practices, share any insights, and offer tips, supports, imaginary high-fives and/or hugs to whoever wants or needs them!

Whether you made it to one session or every one, the catch-up will always be super-friendly, non-judgemental and 100% supportive. The first session will happen on the evening of Wednesday 9th June, and then the following three Wednesdays.

PLEASE NOTE:

The daily sessions in the Virtual Meditation Room are NOT led sessions. You can be in the room for as much of the 30 minute session as you want, but you will be practicing on your own.

Whilst guided mindfulness practices will be part of our workshop, and probably part of our catch-up sessions, I want you to have the opportunity to find what works FOR YOU – and the only way to do that is for you to take the tools I give you, and rigorously test them.

Think of the Virtual Meditation Room as your own cosy, supportive, and silent laboratory!
