FINDING YOUR FLOW

THINK OF THE SHIFT FROM SPRING TO SUMMER; HOW YOU FEEL LISTENING TO YOU FAVOURITE PIECE OF SOOTHING MUSIC; THE PHASES OF THE MOON AND RISE AND FALL OF THE TIDES; A DAISY UNCURLING ITS PETALS AS THE SUN RISES; THE ASANA WITHING A SURYA NAMASKAR (SUN SALUTATION).

What have they got in common?

Each one has an element of ‘vinyasa’ – a progressive sequence which unfolds with inherent intelligence and harmony. And that’s exactly what vinyasa yoga is all about; finding a flow that brings together all the diverse elements of your practice (mind, body, and breath) in such a way that you feel at one with the whole universe.

Ok – maybe we’re getting a bit carried away now, but the truth is that when you find yourself in the midst of a fabulous flowing vinyasa yoga practice you’re definitely going to step off the mat feeling better than when you stepped on!

Join me for this unique yoga break during which you’ll dive into the world of vinyasa yoga. "Vinyasa" is derived from the Sanskrit term nyasa, which means "to place," and the prefix vi, "in a special way", so this dynamic practice can give us the opportunity to tune into our bodies and minds in a whole new way.

Each asana session will use the power of vinyasa yoga to explore an element of our practice; both physiologically and spiritually. We could be using our practice to find what is at our core, discovering how to relieve the weight of the world from our shoulders, or getting grounded against the twists and turns of real life.

But following the flow doesn’t only happen when we move our bodies; it also happens when we try to still our minds too, so an important part of this break will be balancing our urge to move with our need to be still.

AND you’ll get time to enjoy all the wonderful offerings that our host, Ragdale Hall - the multi award winning destination spa, has to offer. Warning: working out how to fit in time for yoga, massages, eating and drinking, relaxing, swimming, snoozing and more yoga can be vaguely stressful…..!
